Hole in the wall for sure!!

From the exterior, I was expecting a no-frills, casual, low key kinda place. The minute I stepped inside, I felt like I was in another dimension. Interior was nice! It felt spacious and looked too fancy to serve hot rice bowls. There's even a bar area and several TVs.

    - #22 rice bowl with kalbi. 4/5
    - kimchi pancake 4/5

Food was yummy and filling. Not bad for the price either, I think ~$15 for the rice bowl.

Really disappointed in how much this place has gone downhill in the past 5 years as the price continues to climb high. I used to be a regular here when the bowls also included shiitake mushrooms and a lot more veggies than they do now. The service has always been awful (friendly people but they take long to come take your order, and after dropping the food off, literally will not come back to check up even once) but I'd continue to come back for the food.

Today was probably my last time there, unfortunately. I got the Kalbi hot pot (bibimbap) for ~$15 before tax and tip. It took a while for the waitress to come take our orders. The food took 30 minutes to come out (ordered at 11:25 and didn't get our food til after 11:55), even though we were only the second group in there for the day. The fried egg was way over cooked and therefore rubbery, and the kalbi was also extremely over cooked and therefore really tough and chewy. To top it all off, they gave MAYBE a quarter cup of cooked rice (probably even less than that). I can't even begin to say how disappointing this was, especially for a total of $18 after tip and tax!

Absolutely not worth it. Do not waste your money here!

I'm still a little confused by all the amazing reviews...my friends and I decided to come here for dinner since we were going to a concert afterwards at Shoreline and this was close by and the restaurant had high ratings.

I wouldn't say the food is super bad? but it's definitely not legit bibimbap. The rice was mushy, the egg was completely cooked, the texture the beef was not great and I'm pretty sure authentic bibimbap doesn't have broccoli. The kimchi that was served on the side was mediocre.

In terms of service, it was hard to get the server's attention. There weren't a lot of people when we went there but there is only one server, which makes things difficult.

Plus side: you can split a check with multiple credit cards.

Not sure about how this restaurant earned such high rating. The first impression wasn't good, garbage smells greeted me once I got out of the car, ok, it's the neighborhood, I hope, not the restaurant.

The smell fills the restaurant unfortunately.

Food was ok, not impressive. Factor in the price and area, I would say overpriced disappointment.

Bathroom smells bad, different kind of bad smell compared with restaurant and parking lot. Server was good, that's the 1 star is for.

    Won't recommend, never again.

Seaweed salad hot pot - 12.25 + miso soup bowl (not pictured) 1.25 = 13.50

I requested for no rice and more vegetables and sunny bowl delivered the goods! The seaweed salad was served in a separate container and a huge portion at that. There was a spinachy vegetable in the pot that i found particularily enjoyable - It had a smokey roasted flavor. The gochujang sauce was sweet and a little spicy and helped tie the dish all together. I wish they provided a bigger egg, it got lost in a sea of carrots after mixing.

The portions were big and i got full quick! Its definitely a good option for those who want a veggie fix. Also, the miso soup was cheap and hit the spot! They included the seaweed and tofu bits. I wish i had ordered two because it was quite tiny!
